| DESCRIPTION | Only Turbo Spec R models can be imported and complied in Australia.
The Spec-R differed from previous Silvia models by featuring a 6-speed manual transmission. The Spec-R also included extensive chassis and suspension strengthening via the use of larger anti-roll bars and strut bracing. The S15 featured the same 4-piston front brake calipers that were found in the S14 but included a larger brake booster.
One of the biggest changes to the S15 model of the Silvia fitted with the 6 speed manual transmission was the implementation of a helical limited slip differential. The result was a safer, more track suited drive; in some contrast to its drifting heritage and subsequent media attention. All other versions of the Spec-R came with the viscous limited slip differential. |

The Australian government has a strict set of regulations that determine whether or not a vehicle is eligible for import to Australia. In addition, there are a number of different schemes that vehicle models can fall under for import eligibility.
To simplify things, we've listed the vehicles that we are able to import and comply in the left menu bar. Clicking on one of them will lead you to the DOTARS website that gives more information on the specifics of the eligible variants of the vehicle that are able to be imported.
The complete list of vehicles eligible for import is located at the Register of Eligible Vehicles. Keep in mind, any vehicle eligible for import must be on this list, and ALSO compliance at a certified RAWS compliance workshop must be available.
